#1: Confluence dead center

(visited by Sam Gallucci)

31-Dec-2004 -- This was the easiest confluence on my trip to Colorado. I followed the nicely paved road from I-40 toward the Meteor Crater, I pulled off at a dirt road that led onto government owned grazing lands. I saw no tresspassing signs leading east and west from the dirt road. SO I continued until I found a dirt road that had no sign. I continued east, passed through a wire gate and then north. I found where the road continues and crossed another wire gate. I was about .50 mile from the confluence. I saw some cattle on the horizon and travelled on foot through sparse grassland. I reached the confluence, took the pics, then continued practically straight line to the main dirt road and back to the pavement. My truck got very dirty. I stopped and checked out the crater.
