#1: A tall stone wall at the confluence.

(visited by Alex Jarrett and Ada Kerman)

14-Jun-1998 -- On a rainy Sunday we took off for Connecticut, driving through a mountainous region (yes, they exist in Connecticut).

The confluence was located a few hundred feet into the woods from a quiet rural road. The woods were quiet, dark and wet. All around us were tall stone walls, some up to five feet tall. Nearby we discovered an old fireplace where a house must have stood. I climbed a tree to peer at some orange fungi growing on it.
