11-Apr-2011 -- Wow - that was fun! While driving from Natchez, Mississippi to Lafayette, Louisiana, I decided to visit this easy confluence point en route. It's in a grassy pasture, just 250 feet east of a dirt farm road.
What made this visit fun, however, was the herd of cows in the pasture. When I walked out to the confluence point, the cows seemed curious, walking towards me, and then staring at me intensely. Afterward, as I walked back to the road, they all followed me (until I stepped over the low fence that surrounds the pasture).
This was only the second recorded visit to this confluence point. When David Mower visited - almost 10 years ago - he reported that the cows seemed disturbed by his presence. This new generation of cows is apparently somewhat mellower.
