29-Oct-2012 -- This is a very easy confluence point - just 160 feet from a dirt road. I was therefore surprised that mine was only the second recorded visit (and the first in more than 11 years).
The confluence point lies on a gently sloping hillside, in a commercial pine forest. Unlike [34,-83] to the north (which I had visited earlier), there were no thorny vines to impede my progress. There's nothing but pine trees growing here - all growing in tidy rows. I was surprised to see so much forestry in Georgia. (When one thinks of Georgia, forestry generally doesn't come immediately to mind.)
