(visited by Chakrit Ratanapibul)

31-Dec-2013 -- In 2009 and 2010 I (ชาคริต) had visited 15N 101E and 16N 101E respectively, then planned to visit 15N 102E, but no chance, even though it is near my home Saraburi (สระบุรี). On 27 December 2013 I intended to visit the 3rd CP (15N 102E) but when driving past the nearest point (5 km), the CP was at the opposite side of the road. To approach the point I had to use a U-turn (Korat bypass road - 4 lanes) but on the opposite side, a thousand vehicles jammed due to travelers going to the countryside on long vacation for the New Year festival. So this CP was cancelled.

On 31 December 2013 I went to Chai Nat (ชัยนาท) province to celebrate 2014, checked a map, found that 15N 100E in Hankha (หันคา) district is not difficult to visit. I started from my home in Saraburi at 10 a.m. via many roads to avoid traffic jams. At 1.30 p.m. I reached Hankha by crossing Tachine river (แม่น้ำท่าจีน) along with road No. 3039, the first junction that had traffic lights, turned right and drove 2 km, the GPS showed the CP is on the left, distance 900 m.

Good luck, there was a road parallel to an irrigation canal to the CP. I turned left and drove beside the canal until the GPS arrow pointed to the right with distance 150 m to go. I parked the car, walked by GPS guidance to the rice field. Because of the good irrigation farmers can grow rice now even when there is no rain in this dry season, the young rice could be seen everywhere. I walked on a narrow way covered with grass until the GPS showed 3 m to go but numerical location not all zeroes. So I took off my shoes and carefully walked in mud deep to the ankles not to disturb the young rice. Not much to try, GPS showed all zeroes, 15N 100E success!!

I took photos of all zeroes and four directions. This task completed at 2.15 p.m. with sunny conditions, some cool breeze, temperature by skin experience around 28 °C. Afterwards I went to Chai Nat town to celebrate the New Year 2014 with a smile on my face.
