#1: Looking at the confleunce point - previsous visitor made a small stone pile

(visited by Yip-Bannicq Group, `Ammār al-Satāri, Khālid Bino, Florence Bannicq and Ray Yip)

25-Feb-2016 -- Another easy point near the main highway from `Ammān to `Aqaba

After couple wonderful days by the Dead Sea, we met up with `Ammār and Khālid to do some off-road biking and visit the famous Petra and Wādiy Rūm.

On our way south to the starting point of bike trek, we made a small detour to hunt for this point. At the time we got off the highway, it was just a little over 1 km from this confluence point.

`Ammār was very excited by the idea of going off road to hunt for a point, and he drove expertly on the rough terrain. We stopped 150 meters short of the point to allow a bit of hike.

`Ammār took the GPS and found the all zero location with celebratory dance. Khālid was not convinced this is an interesting sport. After the easy hunt, we spend most the day biking across the desert and finished the biking near little Petra. A wonderful day indeed.

Rating of this hunt:

Degree of Challenge: 1 – An easy drive up (1= very easy - drive to the point; to 5= a death march – glad it is over)

Scenery:1 – Classic desert with not much sign of life (Scale: 1= not interesting at all; 5= take your breath away)

Culture-social factors: 1 – Not much to speak off (Scale: 1=dull; 5= most stimulating)
