19-May-2014 – The confluence is located near Bayangazuy village and easily achievable, especially in the summer. You need to turn from the road Irkutsk–Kachug (many people use this road to reach Small Baikal Sea) on a crossroad to Bayangazuy (it is about 10 km onto a good dirt road). There are directional road signs on the both sides of this intersection.

Before Bayangazuy (it will be visible on the left side at the top of the mountain) one needs to turn right to the field road and drive onto the lowlands among short grass until you cross 53-rd degrees latitude. The landmark is a wooden pole about five feet high on the right side of the river valley. It stands in the distance of about 150 m from the road. The confluence is located in about 100 m from the pole upstream the river (to the north-east). From the road you can turn right and drive towards the river before you reach the bumps. The terrain near the river is slightly boggy, but you can safely drive onto a meadow even on ordinary car. After you walk 50 meters over bumps you reach Ishin-Gol river. The river at this place is not more than half a meter wide, so it's easy to just step over. CP is on the opposite bank of the river.

There is a small lake (the size is two by two meters) in a few meters from the confluence spot. This freshwater pool is obviously used by local steppe inhabitants (cows, horses).

We had two non-professional GPS-receivers, Huawei smart-phone and iPad. The smart-phone found exact spot just in a few minutes, while iPad resisted for a long time: coordinates constantly “floated”, so we trampled the site 5x5 meters for 15 minutes long, the CP was set approximately. Two calculated (by different devices) points are spaced at a distance of 15 meters. The situation was exacerbated by a strong wind and snow. (Yes! It was in the middle of May.)
