20-May-2006 -- This degree confluence is placed in the immense marshy woodlands called Pollissya.

From early May to deep autumn a lot of mosquitoes and midges become ruthless hunters for non skilled tourists. They were the strongest force power for our nonstop marathon through the forest. Roads are well marked on the map, but because of floods and fallen trees it often can not be passed easily. Even if you will have a jeep deep, sandy grounds is not the best road covering for riding here.

That’s why 8 guys from velokiev.com had a real adventure to visit it on their cycle bikes.

  Notes
Attention: In December 1989 the area around the Confluence had a radioactive surface contamination from Caesium-137 of 37-185 kBq/m², the half-life of Cs-137 being 30 years. Thus the time of stay in this area should be kept as short as possible and appropriate measures should be taken by the visitors to protect themselves against any radioactive contamination.
