27-Aug-2009 -- This confluence point is quite remarkable, because it lies on an on-ramp to Interstate 5 - the primary North-South highway in western North America. Some previous visitors were able to reach the exact point by walking on the on-ramp, but that's probably not legal (and certainly not particularly safe), so I chose not to do this. Instead, by walking across a nearby railway bridge (hmm, perhaps that wasn't legal either), I was able to reach a fence that's just 60 feet (18 meters) West of the confluence point.

Alongside the on-ramp - close to the confluence point - there's a sign noting the 45 degree North line of latitude: halfway between the Equator and the North Pole.
