09-Nov-2009 -- We had 2-3 hours free in the morning before a business meeting in Göteborg (Gothenburg, Sweden), so Svein & I left the airport in our rental car, driving about an hour ENE from the airport.
When we got close to the point, we missed the exit, then turned back after 50m: It turned out to be a very narrow dirt road which lead us past a couple of farm buildings, then into the forest proper.
At the point where the road gets closest to the point we couldn't park the car, due to stone walls on both sides, so we drove on, and just 100m further ahead we got to a barn building with lots of junk cars outside. Leaving a brand new Volvo XC90 besides these clunkers felt somewhat weird. (I had ordered my usual, a small compact car, but Hertz gave me this maximum size Volvo instead.) :-)
The point was just 250m away, in the middle of some marshland. GPS reception was OK, but since we had to get quickly back to Göteborg and our meeting, I couldn't wait until the EGNOS differential data had time to settle, so accuracy was just 6m.
