#1: Looking east to the eastern hemisphere

(visited by David Wood)

18-Jun-1999 -- I (David Wood) accompanied my fellow missionary (Larry Rowell) to the Gourma province in eastern Burkina Faso concerning some business he had there. After finishing, I convinced him to go on a short excursion and we hopped in the car (a Citroën) and drove a couple of miles down a series of donkey cart paths until we came to a huge gully in the road which had been washed out due to the rains. At that point, Larry stayed with the car and I walked the remaining distance to the confluence point.
