#1: The confluence point lies on flat, thinly-vegetated grazing land

(visited by Ross Finlayson)

30-Mar-2011 -- This is an easy confluence point to visit, and as it was on my way from Holbrook to Perified Forest National Park, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit it. I found it surprising that my visit was the first in almost 5 years.

As others have noted, the confluence point can be reached by taking Sun Valley Road exit off I-40, and then taking Pima Road (gravel), and a couple of narrow dirt roads. The confluence point lies within flat, thinly-vegetated grazing land. The field also contains several gopher (or prairie dog?) holes, one of which lies almost directly on the confluence point.
