(visited by Gordon Spence and Shawn Fleming)

31-Jul-2011 -- Another point that I haven't been to in quite a while, April 2010 to be precise, the time before that was July 2008. time soon passes doesn't it?

So why was I heading back to here then?

I had recently been emailed by Shawn Fleming to see if I fancied meeting up to do a visit or two while he was over here in the UK on a training course. It seems that I am becoming a regular on International visits so I of course agreed.

After a few email exchanges to determine work patterns, flight arrivals, time available etc I settle on doing this point and a visit to the Prime Meridian.

This was going to be a might easier than Shawn's visit to 38N-107W, never mind an 11hr 20min hike, we could park up and the visit would be done.

I agreed to meet Shawn at his hotel, which was new enough that it wasn't in the SatNav, but I had looked at their website and so I knew what it looked like.

I explained our itinerary to Shawn and we set off for the cow-shed confluence.

It wasn't that long before we were turning down ever narrower and narrower roads, with the road to the farm being a single track road. Not sure they have those back in Arizona, not with high hedges right next to the road on both sides anyway.

Park up, visit done, off to the next one...no, only kidding we did of course get out and try to get as close as we could. Especially since this was Shawn's first visit outside of continental North America.

Document the visit and then off to the Prime Meridian.
