22-Aug-2013 -- We were going to friends in Oxford and would arrive in Portsmouth by boat from Guernsey, so why not visit this confluence point. May be because it is so easy to do?
Well, we arrived in Portsmouth at 6:30 A.M.and had lots of time to kill because we were expected in Oxford at 15:00 P.M. So we decided to visit the point.
It is indeed easy to find, no dogs, no fences to climb, not a lot of km to walk etc. It was a good visit to start the day.
Afterwards we started walking on a public footpath nearby. We had a very nice walk of one hour. On our way to Oxford we visited Hinton Ampner. According to the National Trust an "Elegant country house with highly distinctive gardens". It's approx. 15 minute drive from the confluence point
