01-Sep-2012 -- This year our family had decided to travel by plane. I collected options and the result was CRETE, GREECE. Between options was this point: 35N 25E. :-)

In Mália (35 km from Heraklion to East) we rented a car so we could go to Knossos Palace. And after that we continued on to the South. At first the road was wide and fast. A bit later it was getting narrow and sinous.

Half a km from the target we left the asphalt and approached the CP to 230 m. From there I had to walk while my family (two sleeping daughters and my wife) was waiting for me.

I run to the point, took several photos and run back to the car. The process was less than 10 minutes.

After the success we continued our journey to the South. Our plan was a lunch and swimming at the southern coast of Crete. Unfortunatelly the road to the coast was very difficult. The road was gravelly and we have to climb and descend between hills. I enjoyed it but my wife not really...

So our plan has changed only to a lunch in Dytikós Beach. After the meal we sit in the car and tried to find a better way back. We couldn't, so the first 10-15 km was difficult again. Then we found the asphalt and arrived to our hotel without any problems.
