#1: The confluence point lies in a pine forest

(visited by Ross Finlayson)

22-Mar-2013 -- This confluence visit was a real treat! From the small town of Ashton, Idaho, I drove eastward along State Road 32, which undulates through rustic farmland. (Along the way I got a good view of the Tetons, illuminated by the late afternoon sun.) I then turned onto Coyote Meadows Road (dirt/gravel), which climbs up towards the mountains, and crossed into Wyoming. About 2 miles after crossing into Wyoming, the road ends at the Jedediah Smith Wilderness - less than 0.4 miles from the confluence point.

From here, reaching the confluence point was easy: I simply began hiking down the Coyote Meadows Trail, crossed part of Coyote Meadows itself, and then 'bushwhacked' up a forested hillside. The confluence point itself is unremarkable, with nothing but trees in each direction. The overall location, however, is spectacular!
