10-Feb-2014 -- After performing a job at Santa Maria de Ipire Edo Guárico and had lunch I tell my partner Jaime Salazar we have near the N09 W65, as he knew the Confluence from visiting the 8N 64W in Palmar del Orinoco I encourage him to visit this CP.

We started the journey from Santa Maria de Ipire 12:35 after lunch in a restaurant of the village, at 1:08 PM we reached the junction where the road we should take us 28 km across the CP of the main road 15. We passed by San Juan de Ipire village at 17 km from CP by a paved road that has no time to make it a formal maintenance but nevertheless some entity with some machine the existing gaps.

At 8 km of the CP there is a rural establishment called The Dividive which entry is in a fork where if we take towards the Northwest it takes us towards the Plant of PDVSA PetroGuarico and if we take towards the North-East it takes us to the small village of The Dividive and later to the CP. After covering the last 8 km and after opening more than 5 large doors, I came to the point where I was 850 m on line straight line to the CP but the vegetation of the zone was not allowing me to penetrate easily, so I went forward and to 300 m towards the West was the farm Aromito 9°0'5.3"N 65°0'10.8"W (this country estate is not where another team came and encamped). Here I achieved that the manager was coming to me and asked him for indications, who attended to me in a very kind way. After indicating him the activity that I was being carried out, he said to me that that was not over there and that I had to continue about 2 km up to the following farm where they might indicate me where was point where a heap of cars led by 2 women in a grey Toyota had gone the previous time more than 1 year ago.

Take course with the indications of the local guy and arrived up to 9°0'23.5"N 65°0'53.1"W where we find the route damaged by the water and the tracks from which a truck had gone on over there, but our truck could not do the adventure, because if we were trying it we might remain stranded in this point and to damage it irremediably. I walked along 500 m and realized that the cellular cdma that was taking good coverage and I called Vincenzo Vecchio who indicated me that a fence existed exactly in the line of 850 m to the point. I returned up to the point at 850 m from the CP did not find the fence visibly, due to the quantity of weeds that was preventing from seeing the fence that was going perpendicularly to my route. I continued approximately 500 m up to a skylight where I see a newly open pike and we decide to penetrate into it Southeast course, realizing that the GPS was indicating that every time we were approaching more the CP up to a distance of 500 m where irremediably we should have left the truck there and make a hike for the remaining distance and penetrate 450 m toward North-East. We make way for ourselves between the bushes and the dry sticks of small trees, which abound in this zone allowing to see a transition between forest and savannah, bordering on a gorge which we had to cross to 300 m of trip and that finally I take us to the fence that Vincenzo had indicated me a few minutes earlier. In the fence we walked 50 m and we realized that we were to 30 m of the point tries to continue clinging to the fence but the CP was of another side of the fencing, we cross it travel 20 m checks the GPS and there was already in the line of coordinates that I was interested in. I started realizing the dance of the zeros and at 3:25 PM I obtained the glorious Zeros, the photos of rigor took and we tackled the walk to the truck.

Then on having returned, I realized that my GPS battery had no charge and using my iPhone compass started my way back to the truck toward Southwest and after a tiring 15 minutes of walk we arrived to the truck, and them 3:40 PM we tackled comeback. In the comeback we meet another local guy and his family mounted in a convertible Jeep CJ-7, which we greet and comment to him on our activity and he mentioned to us that it was more than 1 year that nobody was going to the CP and that were opening this new pike due to the bad state of the route, indicated us that it was coming with water for a neighbor and when I ask him wherefrom he was extracting it he tell us that it was coming from the village of El Chaparro municipality Mc Gregor of the State Anzoátegui which is very much close. On having measured with the GPS in the car where it had external feeding, I realized that we were tat 17.3 km on straight line of the village.

We take the principal route spend 5 large doors and we covered 28 km up to the main road 15, setting course to the city of El Tigre.
