#1: The confluence point. If this is Nevada, there must be sagebrush!

(visited by Ross Finlayson)

02-Jun-2014 -- Once I've visited a confluence point and gotten 'all zeros', I usually don't bother to revisit it; there are so many other confluence points out there, just waiting to be visited! In this case, however, I wanted to revisit this point, because my previous visit - almost 4 years ago - occurred just after sunset, and the quality of my photos was rather poor. While en route to two new (for me) Nevada confluence points further north on the 115 West line of longitude, I decided to revisit this point, in hopes of getting better photos. (Surprisingly, there have been no other recorded visits since my last visit, in September 2010.) This time, however, I noticed a sign for the local ATV rental business: "Rebel ATV Tours".

Another reason for revisiting this confluence point was to try out my new remote-controlled 'quadcopter'. I'll be using this in certain remote confluence points - close to roads, but on public land - to get an aerial view of the confluence point.

Here is a remote-controlled aerial video of this confluence point.
