10-May-2015 -- This is the second out of 4 reports reaching confluence points during a bicycle trip through Austria, Czech Republic, and Slovakia. The story starts from 49°N 17°E.
In the morning of confluence day I started cycling from the town of Uherské Hradiště (60 km west of the confluence in the Czech Republic) at 6 AM. However, the mountain range ‘White Carpathians’ stretching along the border between the Czech Republic and Slovakia was blocking my way. I went around them, crossing the border to the south at Drietoma-Holbová and then turning north. In the nearby village Horná Súča the residents were attending church service. From Horná Súča the confluence is another 3.5 km along a minor road uphill and then a hike of 800 m along a forest track. After passing a single private weekend hut, I abandoned my bicycle and hiked uphill to the confluence point.
The confluence point is located in a mixed forest of beech and birch trees. Just 20 m from the point, there is an open meadow.
Right after the visit, I continued cycling further east, spending the night in the village Benice near 49°N 19°E.
