19-Jul-2021 -- Like the previous visitor (Aaron B, one year ago), I made the assumption that I could avoid the Air Force’s Farish Recreation Area by approaching the Degree Confluence Point from the South, rather than from the North. (My apologies to the Air Force if I inadvertently trespassed on their land.) I parked beside the dirt road at [38.99234,-104.99912], about 1/2 mile South of the point. The first part of the hike was along a pretty, undulating meadow. Pikes Peak (probably Colorado’s most famous mountain) was visible to the South. I then passed through patches of forest, alternating with open grassland, until I reached the point, which (probably coincidentally) lay next to a dirt path, on a slope.

Because I was close to Air Force land, I didn’t fly my drone far - just up and down. Here is a remote-controlled aerial video of this confluence point.
