25-Feb-2022 -- While visiting the small city of Wanganui (also spelled “Whanganui”; long story) for mountain biking, I decided that this Degree Confluence Point - just 4km offshore - deserved to have an ‘incomplete’ visit recorded.

I drove behind the local airport to reach a (long, driftwood-strewn) beach. Taking a short walk along this beach, I got within 4.15km of the point.

I would have liked to have flown my drone out towards the point, to get an idea of what the coastline (and the city of Wanganui) might look like if viewed from the point. Unfortunately, because of the adjacent airport, drones are illegal here.
