17-Mar-2001 -- We read about the confluence idea about a week ago. Funny
enough when one of us heard about it, the other one was
accidently very close to it (about 3km). As it was pouring most of
the time this weekend, we decided to try it on the next Saturday,
March 17th 2001. We took some of our sons and after a short drive
(about 40km and 30 minutes) we located a farmhouse close
(380m) to the spot, but it turned out that we had been just above a
steep slope. So we asked the friendly farmer's wife (she even
appreciated our intention!) for a better road and after driving some 4km
we were 300m further west (down the slope). As all the meadows and fields
are pretty wet, it is not good to walk around. They told us that it is a
nice hiking area in summertime. Close to another nice farmhouse with an
old lime tree and horsestables we found the point. As expected it was in
the center of a field. We got pretty muddy (causing some trouble with the
female part of our families at home). Because the weather was hazy, we
will come back for better photos. And we had the usual problems with the
GPS' numbers jumping around zero.
