21-May-2001 -- The point is about twenty miles south of Ely, NV, in the White River Valley. The White River Valley runs north-south between the White Pine Range on the west and the Egan Range on the east. The point is about 100 feet west of a track through a pasture in a flat, arid environment. Access was achieved from the south through Lund, but I came out at Preston when I returned to civilization. Many, many wildflowers.
