10-Jul-2003 -- While traveling down the East Coast to visit Eric's uncle and grandmother, we stopped by this beautiful confluence.
Having forgotten all the maps and directions back home, we found the golf course by GPS dead-reckoning. Amazingly, we ended up at the same point that the maps indicate as the most reasonable approach. The closest point on roads is on a residential street, but a nearby road allows direct access to the golf course without wandering through anyone's yard.
Michelle asked a groundskeeper we met for permission to wander and photograph, and we were off walking the paved paths between the holes. Once we found the nearest point to the confluence, Eric carefully stepped out on the fairway to mark the precise spot, while Michelle stayed on the side to minimize our impact. Even the paved paths get you to within a few meters of the confluence -- well within the 100m standard of the project!
