04-Nov-2007 -- We left UB at 10AM on this beautiful Sunday morning. Blue sky, moderate temperature around the freezing point, actually rather warm for the season. While leaving the city to the West we once again noticed the awful air pollution from the UB factories. Soon however we got to the country road to the West, which is presently under reconstruction. After some 40km of rather dusty driving on the gravel we turned North West onto dirt road. Now we could start to really enjoy the Mongolian country side. After passing a couple of hills we finally entered that big valley leading to the Confluence point from South. The dirt roads are easy to drive and we could approach our final destination until a few 100 meters. 48/106 is located at the South West foot of a small mountain range which is worthwhile to climb for a fantastic few over the area. This was our 2nd successful CP and a lovely day outing with our dear friends.
