If you take the C17 from Keetmanshoop it will take you in a northeastern direction towards the small and dusty but friendly town of Koës. The 26S 19E confluence lies roughly eight kilometers from Koës and five kilometers from the C17.
The local co-operative is always a valuable source of information and I was told that Koos Engelbrecht is the owner of the farm Vest Wall. Fortunately Koos and his wife Amanda stay in town and it was not difficult to locate them. Koos was keen to accompany me to his farm and assisted me to locate the confluence point. Once again we were lucky to be able to drive to within a few meters from the Confluence.
After we had pin pointed the Confluence, Koos took me to a historical well on his farm that dated from the time of German occupation.
