23-Apr-2005 -- This was Day 2 (Saturday) of our Anzac Day weekend trip to attempt 4 confluences between Sandstone and Carnegie Station (S27 E120, S27 E121, S26 E122 and S26 E123). The party consisted of my wife Sandy and I, and my brother John and his wife Mariane.

We arrived at Wongawol Station about 2 hours earlier than scheduled due to the open country around the previous confluence point near Barwidgee Station. At Wongawol, we talked to Jason Holmwood who looked at our maps and thought we'd be able to drive right to the confluence.

We continued on to Sholl Bore which was about 1.8km from the confluence, and sure enough, the country was open, with large clear areas, scattered vegetation and patches of rocky ground. To our extreme amazement, we were once again able to drive to within a few metres of the point. We took the usual photos and returned to the main road, continuing on towards Carnegie Station. We had completed two confluence visits today, and now realised we had an excellent chance of completing a third visit to S26 E123, about 24km south of Carnegie.
