15-Sep-2019 -- Returning to California from my short trip to Oregon, I made a detour to revisit this remote Degree Confluence Point that I had previously visited 8 years earlier, in September 2011. I was pleased to get a ‘drone’s-eye’ view of the point, as this - far more than the ground-level photos - shows how the pine trees in this commercial forest have been planted in rows. I was disappointed, however, in not getting a view of nearby Lassen Volcanic National Park. This was blocked by a hill just to the West of the point (and also by looking into the late-afternoon Sun).

The hike to the point was easy - just 1/4 mile each way from a National Forest road that passes to the East. The point looks exactly the same as I’d remembered it from my previous visit - chaparral, growing amongst rows of small pine trees.
