08-Jul-2015 -- On 8 July we left Travemünde (Germany) on board the ferry “Finnlady” on route to Helsinki (Finland). Some confluence points (CPs) were passed in the Baltic Sea, among them 57°N 19°E at 7:00 p.m., and 3.5 hours later (10:30 p.m.) followed by CP 58°N 20°E.
The vessel was then nearly 9 km southeast of this CP. Thus view west is to the CP and finally to the northern end of Gotland (Sweden). The coast of this island was still visible with binoculars on the horizon in the West and SW, but can hardly be detected in the picture, due to sunset. No land can be seen in all other main directions, thus views E, N and S are omitted.
