13-Aug-2007 -- My friend Jorge Trejo and I, left the city of Querétaro about 8 in the morning on Monday August 13, we traveled 649 kms. Crossing 4 states of Méxcio to San Atenógenes in the State of Durango (known in the area as “la Villita de San Atenógenes”) the effort was worth the trouble, because we were the first Degree Confluence enthusiasts to visit one confluence of ten in the State of Durango.

We first planned to go through San Miguel and Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, but, we mmissed the exit to San Miguel, so we kept going to San Luis Potosí, then Zactecas, Fresnillo and Sombrerete in the state of Zacatecas end Vicente Guerrero in Durango.

When we arrived to San Atenógenes, we looked in a billiards place for someone to guide us in the area. There were stone and wire fences, he could help us find where to pass; there we met Felipe de Jesús.

Because of the rain, the grass and bushes where very tall as we went through them, the Confluence was in a place clear of grass, but with a lot of cacti, you can hardly see a few meters ahead. We were very happy to reach our goal and took some pictures, we forgot a little sign that we prepared to hold while the pictures were taken, so we took the picture with the sign in the town with Felipe.

It was a great experience and a great satisfaction.
