02-Apr-2005 -- Weather conditions couldn't be better, the sun was shining and the temperature at 26 Celsius. We started our trip from Monterrey taking the toll highway to Reynosa heading northeast. Arriving to General Bravo we took the 33 N.L. State Highway north to Camargo until we intersected the road to Huizache.
We were surprised to found out that this road is paved. As we traveled northwest, getting close to our objective, we could observe that the land was private property, mostly cattle ranches with some activity in gas and oil wells.
When the GPS indicated a distance of 560 meters or so to the confluence, we realized that it was located inside a ranch and we parked at an entrance that was closed but not locked. We decided to get inside walking, leaving the car outside.
As we got closer to the confluence point the excitement increased until we finally got the required instrument reading. Finishing with the photos we started the trip back home, feeling happy for the goal achievement.
