17-Feb-2006 -- I am currently travelling through Morocco by motorbike and was aware there were a couple of unvisited Confluences along my intended route. I was hoping to bag my first Confluence.
I spent a night at a very dingy hotel (the only one) on the southern side of `Aïn Beni Mathar and checked my GPS in the morning. I realised 34N 2W was just over 1 km away. I followed the Goto arrow on my GPS over some wasteground on my bike and came to a narrow road, which I followed (south) out of town. I waited until the Goto arrow was perpendicular to the road before turning onto the bumpy ground to my right.
I rode through an area planted with rows of small trees onto stony but flat land until I came to a small ravine too steep for the bike. There was a lot of refuse dumped in the ravine. I carried on another 5 or 6 hundred yards on foot until I got to the Confluence. I did not make a note of my GPS accuracy (didn't know I was supposed to) but I know it was single figures as that is always what I wait for. I seem to remember it being spot on. The ground was flat, the sky clear and I had no difficulty reaching the spot. I took the photos and was back on my bike within 10 minutes.
