  73°N 78°W (incomplete)

(visited by Dave Reid)

06-Sep-2002 -- My name is Dave Reid, I own and operate Polar Sea Adventures in Pond Inlet, Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic.

Bylot Island: 73N 78W. Team: Bob Brown, Pierre Dunnigan, Tom Koelbel, Dan Pearlman, Dave Reid

On the 6th of September we managed to get to 72° 59.93'N and 78° 00.01'W. The exact confluence is located a short distance away. On the high Arctic island of Bylot Island, we negotioated two large glaciers, a steep snow slope and a tricky rock band before discovering the exact confluence lay in a rather inaccessible place along a knife-edge ridge.

A group of clients and myself may go back in 2003 and make a more serious and focused attempt.

Coordinator's Note: The visitors elected not to submit any pictures because they didn't get within the 100m needed for a successful visit. Their location of 72° 59' 55.8"N 78° 00' 00.6"W was about 130m from the confluence.
