26-May-2001 -- Compared to our previous visits (all close to the road), this one was VERY HARD. We actually got our feet slightly wet wandering through an irrigated field, and had to climb over a stile! :)
The closest approach would have been from the road to the north of the point, but that way would have gone through a field full of cattle, so we checked out the approach from the east. Not a cow to be found on that approach, though the point was almost twice as far that way.
So, after checking with the nearby farmhouse, where the people were friendly and didn't seem to think it would be a problem, we crossed the stile into the first field, and wandered west.
It turns out that really deep grass is a good indicator that your feet are about to get rather wet.
Following the irrigation canal back eventually gets you to the correct spot, where we enjoyed the beautiful scenery before wandering back out, and returning to I84.
