The 2nd Guangxi Confluence Hunt of the Group
After 3 days and one hunt in Behai ( 北海 ) by the coast, we moved to Nanning (南宁), the capital of Guangxi. We reached Nanning too late to do any work but with sufficient day light left to go for the nearest confluence point about 28 km GPS distance away.
The drive was straight forward and it took us less than an hour to reached a rather unusual village made of large apartment buildings located in the middle of a large banana field. We decided to walk through the apartment complex for the last 300 meters of the approach.
We found the confluence point located on a small hill next to an empty brick building, about 150 meters from the nearest apartment building.
Most the surrounding area of this Confluence Point is banana plantation except the large apartment complex. As it turn out, this area is also a mining area, and the apartments are for those family belongs to the mining operation. The name of the village is Na Dong Fen Quang (那东分矿) which means sub-mining district of Na Dong. This area belongs to the Na Long (那龙 ) Township of Nanning city.
We made it back to downtown Nanning before dark. This was a pleasant little hunt took just a little over 2 hours. We manage to get out of the dinner obligation and able to have a feast of oyster and beer at the nearby night market.
