24-May-2007 -- This year, neither a solar eclipse lead us to Nepal and Tibet, nor was there another astronomical event, but only the spectacular Himalaya and the tibetian highland, the people and their rich culture, the myths and the spirituality. Unfortunately, the large amount of tourists in our group was a slight disadvantage in finding relaxation and – confluence points. And there was some widespread mountain sickness too...

From the famous center of Tibet, Lhasa, with it's „Now-one-of-the-seven-new-world-wonders-Potala-Palace“, we drove with five 4WD cars towards the hot springs of Tredum and noticed by chance that we were approaching bit by bit the confluence point 92°E and 30°E. The topography of the tibetian highland made us believe, that we could never reach this point, but fortunately the road and the valley lead us directly towards the point. The point itself was located only 250 meters south of the road, on an acre. We were astound, that this confluence point was so easily accessible, but had some doubts, that the point was still unvisited, cause at the beginning of our tour, we had no real intention to go on confluence hunt. So at least, we three confluence veterans took the opportunity and walked to the point, while our other fellows shared their amusement about our side trip.
