27-May-2024 -- Dieses war der 9. CP (von insgesamt 19) auf unserer 4-wöchigen Großbritannien-/ Irlandtour 2024 – erster CP der Tour war 49°N 6°E gewesen.

Nun kamen wir von 52°N 10°W und – die wohl wichtigste Nachricht zuerst – der kleine “zurückgebliebene” Baum lebt noch, auch wenn er mir als “Nichtbotaniker” nicht gut gefiel.

Unser Navi führte uns von Süden kommend in die nähere CP-Umgebung; da die Sträßchen (wenig überraschend) doch schmal und in keinem guten Zustand waren, stellte ich unser WoMo im geräumigen Kreuzungsbereich bei N 54°0'6” W 8°59'38,5” (Bild 10) in einer Entfernung von ca. 430 Metern Luftlinie zum CP seitlich ab und machte mich auf einem Feldweg in Richtung CP auf. Nach ca. 250 Metern in der Nähe eines verfallenen Hauses (Bild 7) bei einem Gatter (Bild 8) angekommen und dieses überstiegen.

Danach befand man sich in feuchter Moorlandschaft; dennoch kam man sicher und zügig – wenn auch mit nassem Schuhwerk – Richtung CP voran. Diesen lokalisiert und die Fotos gemacht – auch noch das unmittelbar in CP-Nähe befindliche ca. 1 m hohe Bäumchen, welches in Vorberichten oftmals erwähnt wird, begutachtet und abgelichtet (Bild 9); es steht so nah beim CP, dass es auf den Umgebungsbildern nicht drauf ist. Dann auf gleichem Weg zurück zum WoMo – und nach ca. 35 Minuten ging's für uns auf der Piste weiter zum nächsten CP bei 55°N 7°W

27-May-2024 -- This was the 9th CP (of 19) on our 4-week campingcartour to Great Britain and Ireland 2024 – the tour had started at 49°N 6°E

By now we came from 52°N 10°W and – to begin with the most important thing – the stunted tree is still alive, nevertheless in my opinion not in a good condition.

Coming from south our navi led us on small tracks in the CP-area; I parked our campingcar in a spacious junction at N 54°0'6” W 8°59'38,5” (pic. 10) in a distance of approx. 430 meters to the CP. I followed the track towards the CP and – after approx. 250 meters – near some ruined buildings (pic. 7) passed a closed gate (pic. 8). The remaining way led through a wet moory landscape giving you for free wet shoes. Near the CP was still standing the small stunted tree (height approx. 1 meter), mentioned by former reports. Since it doesn't appear on the pictures with the 4 cardinals, I took a separate picture of the tree. (pic. 9)

Then same way back to the campingcar, where I arrived after approx. 35 minutes. Next CP was 55°N 7°W
