22-Feb-2017 -- The area around the Confluence is a sand desert and rather flat.

We travelled with 8 persons / 5 cars. It took us 4 days from Riyāḍ to reach the Confluence. Due to the early time in the year the temperature was about 30 °C at about 10:00 hours and it was quite windy.

Some kilometers away there are beautiful sand dunes and a well with hot water. Besides some insects no animals have been seen.
