31-Jul-2011 -- I had heard of this project from a friend a couple of years ago. I chanced upon it during my stay in Mundra and decided to make a dash for the closest point 23N 69E. To my surprise, it hadn't been conquered. When I floated the idea to a couple of friends they jumped on board. The three of us (Gundip Singh Ahluwalia, Rohit Kailash, Shamim Ahmed). We got our bikes out one fine morning and moved towards the point. It was only about 100 kms from where we stay so we took close to an hour and a half to get till there. We found the spot and got the approximate directions to the place.
It was positioned in a field of cotton and we found the point through the GPS positioning of our phones. We took a snap of the GPS as required (Pic 5). Pic 1 is a snap of the area towards the North from the point. Pic 2 is a snap of the area towards the South from the point. Pic 3 is a snap of the area towards East of the point and Pic 4 is towards the West. Pic 4 also shows the farmer (the taller one in white) who owns the plot trying to understand what exactly we were doing on his land.
