11-Feb-2002 -- One day after visiting point 28°N 75°E, we travelled from Bikaner to Jaisalmer. 21 km east of Pokaran, we left our car and walked about 2 km south along a track to reach the point (altitude 260m). Pokaran is known to be the place where the Indian atomic bomb trials were made in 1974 and 1998.

This country is part of the desert of Thar. Near the points we saw quite a lot of blue bulls. Those are the Asiatic antelopes called Nilgai in India. We saw also gracious gazelles with babies along the road.
