10-Jan-2024 -- Esta é uma continuação da narrativa da confluência 15S 52W.

Após passar a noite na cidade de Alto Araguaia, em Mato Grosso, retomei a viagem por volta das 7h30min. Segui viagem em direção à confluência 18S 53W, localizada a menos de 10 quilômetros da tríplice fronteira entre os estados de Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul e Goiás e da nascente do rio Araguaia.

A propósito, nesse trecho da viagem, eu tive a oportunidade de passar por três divisas interestaduais, conforme mostram as fotos publicadas. Logo do início da viagem, após deixar a cidade de Alto Araguaia, errei o caminho e entrei no estado de Goiás, na cidade vizinha de Santa Rita do Araguaia. Voltei para o estado do Mato Grosso, segui viagem rumo ao sul, atravessei a divisa com o estado do Mato Grosso do Sul e, algum tempo depois, entrei novamente no estado de Goiás, onde se localiza a confluência.

Após dirigir por cerca de 120 quilômetros, parei o carro às margens da rodovia BR-359, a 950 metros do ponto exato.

Fiz a fácil caminhada por uma área de mato baixo e registrei a visita. Chamou minha atenção o fato de a confluência estar em uma área nativa de cerrado, em uma região dominada por imensas áreas cultivadas. Mas, depois, descobri que a confluência se localiza dentro do Parque Nacional das Emas.

Retomei a viagem e segui até a cidade de Jataí, onde parei para tomar um lanche, em substituição ao almoço.

After spending the night at Alto Araguaia city, Mato Grosso state, I resumed the trip about 7:30. I headed to 18S 53W confluence, located less than 10 kilometers to triple border among Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul and Goiás states and to the source of the Araguaia River.

By the way, in this leg of the trip, I had the opportunity of passing by tree interstate lines, as shown in published photos. At the beginning of the trip, after leaving Alto Araguaia city, I took the wrong way and entered in Goiás state, at the neighbor city of Santa Rita do Araguaia. I came back to Mato Grosso, headed to south, crossed the line with Mato Grosso do Sul state and, sometime after, I entered again in Goiás state, where lies the confluence.

After driving by 120 kilometers, I stopped the car at the shoulder of the BR-359 highway, 950 meters to the exact point.

I made the easy hiking by a low bush area and registered the visit. It remarkable the fact that the confluence lies in a native area of savanna, in a region dominated by huge cultivated areas. Some days after, however, I discovered that the confluence is located inside Emas National Park.

I resumed the trip up to Jataí city, Goiás state, where I stopped to take a snack, replacing the lunch.
