22-Jun-2001 -- Visited the second Zimbabwe Confluence on the way back from June, 21 Total Solar Eclipse trip.
The Confluence was in an open field with copses of trees in the featureless, 1 m high sparse grass with occasional small termite nests (this one just west of the Confluence). Some paths and cattle tracks crossed the fields with a small stream of running water that needed to be crossed on the way. Standard barbwire fences separated portions of fields with some fence posts made using slivers of local rock.
I got to make the trip alone hence the self-portrait.
A notable feature was the local dam about 900 m ENE from the Confluence and worth the walk to visit.
