(visited by Rex Rediker and Wayne Smith)

17-Jun-2007 -- On the morning of 17 June 2007, the newly converted "Confluence Addicts Club" departed to locate DCP 31N 24E, which is located approx. 168 km (as the crow flies), or 421 km round trip by track, trail & road from our camp site. The expeditionary force was made of (from Left to Right) Wayne Smith & Rex Rediker (the better looking one in the picture) who are both Canadians and are on the same project working for 2 different organizations. We were both surprised that no one had seized the opportunity to knock this one out, as it is in prime accessible location and the terrain is as flat as flat can be and easily accessible from the main (and only) blacktop road. Oh well, who cares, I call it, it's mine... LOL.

The joy is not only being able to claim the DCP but also to see the look of bewilderment on the local national drivers' faces. What must go through their minds when we tell them to stop in the middle of nowhere, so we can dance around our GPS's and take pictures, and then jump back in the vehicle as if nothing has happened and tell them "OK, we're done", and depart back to camp?
