10-Sep-2018 -- I had already visited this point in May 2011, but decided to visit it again (while returning to California from central Oregon) because it was quite easy to reach, and because I wanted to record a ‘drone’s eye’ view of the point. The point lies less than a mile west of US-395, but by taking a dirt road, I was able to park even closer, leading to an easy hike to the point.

The point looked just the same as I remembered it 7 years earlier. However, during my previous visit, a minor dust storm was blowing. The photos this time were noticeably clearer.
