05-Aug-2017 -- We set out early at 5 AM from Choibalsan city in Dornod and drove northeast for about 4 hours.
To get to this confluence requires permission from the Mongolian Border Protection Agency because it is very close to the national border and is therefore a restricted area.
Along the way to the confluence we saw a herd of Mongolian gazelles. The confluence itself is about 5 km from the nearest road and we had to drive across the steppe to get there. When we arrived we saw a wide open plain full of grass with some hills in the far distance.
