19-Feb-2005 -- Five riders from Kiev went by electric train to Korosten’ (area center). Then we went to west trough the 8 villages

We pass about 60 kilometers from Korosten to confluence point. About 8 km of roads was very difficult because was covered by 10-15 centimeters of snow

We found out confluence point located on the currently drained swamp. And the last 1.5 km from road to point we come without bicycles

The elevation of confluence point 51N 28E is about 188 meters

Attention: In December 1989 the area around the Confluence had a radioactive surface contamination from Caesium-137 of 37-185 kBq/m², the half-life of Cs-137 being 30 years. Thus the time of stay in this area should be kept as short as possible and appropriate measures should be taken by the visitors to protect themselves against any radioactive contamination.
