07-Feb-2005 -- Visiting this confluence means one stop during our journey throughout this wonderful country New Zealand. We prepared ourselves with tramping boots, gaiters, sun-glasses and sun-hats and lots of sun-lotion. You never know how wet it will be or how long you will sweat in the sun. I must say, well prepared because the terrain appeared to be swampy and it took a while to climb over several fences. On our way back we met the owner of this farm land and had a nice talk with him. He was very interested of the story about confluencing and proud to own such an important geologic landmark.
