19-Mar-2005 -- We drove to Subathu and followed the GPS down several likely routes, finally reaching within 1.9km of the confluence, which seemed to be across a valley. We spent some time searching for a better approach, but had to abandon the attempt due to inclement weather (heavy rain and hailstorms).

I shall make another attempt soon.
