18-Apr-2005 -- After the visit to 45°N 123°W I drove west towards the Pacific coastline. This confluence is located within sight of the sea, in a new development up on a hillside.
The two previous visitors have documented how it looked before and during the developemnt, at this time almost everything has been finished, and people are living in the big house on the hillside which contains a confluence in their back yard.
I did not see anyone in this house, but I was allowed to enter the lot of the house below it, in the next street down. According to my WAAS-improved GPS fix from their back yard, the actual point is located about 4 m north of the property boundary.
On the way to this confluence you pass a pair of markers on the highway that tells motorists that they are crossing the 45th parallel, the halfway line between the equator and the North pole. This marker is less than a km from the confluence itself.
The next day I tried to visit 45°N 122°W.
