07-May-2005 -- 34 N – 120 E Jiangsu (江苏), China
Visit Date: May 7, 2005
This is the second of six confluence points we hunted in Jiangsu during the weekend of May 1st holiday week.
After completed 33N 120E, we headed north following a wide and smooth highway which pretty much ran parallel to a large canal, and we reached the only major turn off with another 18 km to go.
Again the highway followed another canal and brought us to about 450 meters from the confluence point. We found a dirt road which brought us into a village and we parked in front of a farm house with less than 200 meters to go.
This particular confluence point located right next to a large ditch or a small canal adjacent to a wheat field. We completed this hunt around 4 pm.
The nearby village called Shi Si Ba, part of Cui Qiao Township in Hai Bing County.
After this hunt, we started heading to Lien Yun Gong, the major city in northern Jiangsu for the night.
Rating of this hunt:
Degree of Challenge: 1 – a drive-up (Scale: 1= very easy - drive to the point; to 5= a death march – glad it is over)
Scenery: 3– a pleasant day in the field (Scale: 1= not interesting at all; 5= take your breath away)
Culture-social factors: 2–rural central Jiangsu farming community (Scale: 1=dull; 5= most stimulating)
